LIVE STOCK & GRAIN.--In the west it is the "Hustler," who gets to the front and in the subject of this sketch we have the genuine hustler. Mr. Neff landed in Audubon in the spring of 1880, from Seneca, Illinois, and bought a large ranch near Kimballton, Iowa, and placed upon it large herds of cattle. In a few years actual settlers cut off his range and he sold out his entire ranch and stock and moved to Audubon, since which time he has been engaged in buying and shipping live stock and grain to the eastern markets. He is the heavest [sic heaviest] live stock shipper in the county and a man with whom it is a pleasure to do business. He can always be found at his old stand at the Rock Island stock yards and his motto is "cash and honest weights."
