AUDUBON ROLLER MILLS.--Among the many industries of which Audubon is proud and which assist in maintaining and increasing the already heavy trade which the city receives, as well as adding to its wealth is the Audubon roller mills, operated and owned by Kuhn Culver & Co. Mr. Kuhn who heads the company's name is a resident of Des Moines, while the other partners live in Audubon and conduct the business, both coming to the city four years ago. The output of the mill amounts in good round figures to over $50,000 yearly, and its products find a ready sale in every part of the county. The demands for such are so great that it is impossible to supply any foreign trade. The flour manufactured is of the highest quality and equal in every particular to that manufactured by any mills in the United States. The fact that the entire product is consumed at home is ample proof of the accuracy of this statement. In the busy season the facilities, which are of the latest roller patent, are inadequate to meet the requirements of the local trade. No mills in western Iowa produce such popular brands as the Audubon roller mills. Mr. Culver and Mr. Stotler, the local managers, as well as partners of the concern, are thorough business men and prominent citizens of the town, as well as being enterprising to an unusual degree. It is just such industries as the Audubon Roller Mills that make live flourishing cities.
