COUNTY TREASURER.--The subject of this article was born in Canada twenty-eight years ago. From that place he removed to Jackson county, Iowa, and thence came to Audubon. Since Nov. 19th, 1879 he has been a resident of the county. For a number of years he served as deputy auditor and so pleased the people of the county that he was elected to the office of county treasurer in 1891. Mr. Dawson is a gentleman who will ever serve his constituents in an honorable manner and is truly worthy of the honors they have showered upon him. He has gained the goodwill of the entire people of Audubon county and will ever merit their esteem. He is a young man of clean ambitions and will certainly make his mark. Mr. Dawson is a member of the K. of P. lodge in Audubon.
