ATTORNEY AT LAW.--Of Audubon was born in the town of Lowell, Oxford county, Maine, June 27, 1844, and lived in that state until 18 years old and received a common school education. On July 18, 1862, he enlisted, a private, in Co. D, 16th regiment Maine infantry Vol. and served three years in the army of the Potomac. In October 1865 he came to Audubon county where he has since resided principally. He served as county recorder of this county during the years of '67-68, and was county judge in 1868. In 1870 he was admitted to practice law in this county, by judge Mott, and since has been principally engaged in his profession. In 1870 he attended a term of the law school of the Iowa State University. He is at present a member of the firm of Andrews & Hanna, lawyers. Their office is over the Audubon County Bank. At the general election 1894 he ws elected senator of the 17th district of Iowa, for the term of four years.
