Submitter’s Note: It is possible that Patty Monroe and unknown Monroe are Patricia & Lynda Monroe, daughters of Leo and Winifred Monroe. Patricia would be 7 in this photo, and Lynda 2. I contacted Lynda Monroe (my husband’s aunt) to confirm, and while she could not confirm she did state that they lived on a farm near this school when she was a child.

Howard School 2011



Howard School, photographed on October 3rd, 2011. The Howard School is located in the south east section of Section 8, Makee Township. The school is currently owned by Dave Newton and has been remodeled into a garage. The plaque on peak of the school reads “Howard School, 1896”.
