French Creek School District No. 2

This school was served by many teachers since early 1900’s. From our knowledge these include: Angela Whalen, Anna Mae Whalen, Buster Sweet, Anna Laughlin, Lillian Mollerman, Mae Welsh, La Vern O’Donnell, Clara Leppert, Bernice Dahly, La Vern O’Donald*, Betty Mauss.

Next we have students that attended: Dewey Leppert, Gilbert Leppert, Willard Leppert, Oscar Leppert, Emma Leppert, Cora Leppert, Jesse Leppert, Frank Teeling, Clarence Leppert, Sadie Leppert, Anna Leppert, Andrew Leppert, Arthur Leppert, Harold E. May, Frances Welsh, Lucille Welsh, Margaret Welsh, Marie Welsh, Dorothy Welsh, Ole Landsgard, Violet Landsgard, Billy Landsgard, Rita Weber, Essie Weber, Carl O. May, Sr., Adeline May, Louise May, Betty May, Lavern O’Donnell, Virginia O’Donnell, Keith Hastings, Ronald Hastings, Lila Hastings, Bobbie Sullivan, Clement Sullivan, Marcella Sullivan, Roger Sullivan, (Dewey Leppert, Florence Leppert Family) Donald Leppert, Kenneth Leppert, and Lucille Leppert. (Children of Clarence and Clara Leppert) Howard Leppert, Roger Leppert, Bob Leppert, and Ruth Leppert.

This school had the usual amount of school plays, Christmas programs, basket socials, and annual picnics on the last day of school. Many good kitten ball games were played here on Friday afternoons andat other schools in other school districts.

This school has been closed since the mid 1940’s. The schoolhouse was sold, and taken down. There is no picture to be had.
