Waukon Girl Scouts - 1948

Update - 11/06/2014 - Connie Ellis has possibly further identified some of the people in the photos. She isn't 100% positive, so interested researchers should bear this in mind. Her notes, with the initials C.E., have been added in [brackets] below.

Postville Scouts - Court of Honor, 1952

Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Explorer Scouts received awards at a Court of Honor held at the high school last Thursday evening. The group shown are the boys who received their first class awards and life membership.

L-R front: Douglas Ruckdaschel, Bobby James & Charles Eberling, all promoted to first class scouts.

L-R middle: Bill James, life scout membership; David Schutte & Noel Cook, promoted to first class scouts.

Postville Boy Scouts Receive Awards - 1957

The above members of the Postville Boy Scouts received their first class awards at the special dinner held on Monday of last week to honor the Postvile Kiwanis Club, sponsors of Scouting in Postville.

Other awards presented that night included: Mark Miene, second class award and Michael Bigler, tenderfoot pin.
The following merit badges were awarded:
Monte Cook in electricity, personal fitness, cycling, citizenship in community, bugling, swimming and scholarship.
Gary Cook in nature, personal fitness, safety and publich health.
Robert Schara in swimming and canoeing.
David Kiesau in rowing and public health.
Robert Blocklinger in coin collecting, hiking, home repairs and wood carving.
Jerry Trudo for home repairs.
Ron Trudo for home repairs.
Don Hoth for cycling.
