Synopsis of the Iowa Optometry law, passed in 1909, by Governor B.F. Carroll

Two years' study in accredited high school, or its equivalent; professional training, three years with a registered optometrist or graduation from a standard school of optometry; licensing test, examinaton or five years' continuous practice in the state prior to the passage of this act; registration with the clerk of the district court of the county of residence. For application address secretary State Board of Examiners.
