January & February 2005
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
I've started redoing every page on the Allamakee website, hopefully giving them a updated, cleaner and neater appearance. I hope everyone likes the "new look" of the pages. This will take quite some time so please bear with the patch-work quilt look until I've finished. Another big project started this winter is moving all 'on-site' obituaries to the Allamakee co. Obituary Board. When finished, all of our obituaries can be searched either 'by county' or as a part of the 'state-wide' search feature of the boards. Volunteer, Mary Durr has graciously undertaken this tedious and time-consuming task. Thank-you Mary! Finally, the update journal will now contain a clickable link to the area of the website containing the new information. I've done this in response to requests from Allamakee researchers who were having problems finding the new stuff! As always, I welcome your suggestions, feedback and submissions for the website.
