Roberts Cemetery

In May 2005, my daughter and I visited Adair County and its cemeteries. We drove to every one except those that were on private property or otherwise inaccessible. I will be putting on photos for each and a small commentary. We visited right before Memorial Day which was a perfect time to see them in their prime. The peonies were in full bloom and gorgeous!

Roberts wasn't very easy to find but well worth the trip. The terrain around it is very different from most of the county. We thought about the early settlers and how they must have felt when they first saw this land. I took a photo of the gate and the entrance road to give a feel of what it was like.

Recently a group of volunteers from Madison County completed photographing Roberts. Thank you to them!
